Leatherheads box office down 50% in second weekend
April 14, 2008 11:13 amLeatherheads continues to drop the ball at the box office, down 50% from its first weekend, which was a disappointing start, considering the star power of George Clooney and Renee Zellwegger.
Leaherheads only brought in $6.3 million in its second weekend, with a domestic total of just under $22 million versus a budget of $58 milllion. It also received mediocre reviews and likely would have done much better had it been released during football season, rather than the beginning of basesball season.
